An animated GIF produced for the Born in 1987 show on “The Wall” in the Photographer’s Gallery of London was opened in Quicktime7Pro, exported as an MP4, successively databent using a hex editor, then re-opened in QT7.  The image is a screen capture after scrubbing the resulting video along its breaks.
