The Sun is a Giant Nuclear Furnace and Will Swallow Us Whole Some Day No.1

A video from the NASA Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) website was databent using a hex-editor, then opened in QT.  The playback head was scrubbed to generate the frames from which this animation originated.  While animating the frames in GIMP, the color space was changed from Indexed to Grayscale with the Animation Preview filter running, which caused radical color shifts.
